The relationship, stated here rather than at the bottom
Dr. Simsek is also one of the doctors listed on this site, and a question sent through the site can reach her. So the person who checks these pages for accuracy is also somebody a reader might go on to contact. We state that here, on her profile and on its own page, because you should hear it from us rather than work it out.
What the review covers
- That anatomical and technical descriptions are accurate.
- That recovery timelines reflect what is actually observed rather than the best case.
- That risks are stated at full weight and not softened.
- That figures quoted from published studies are quoted correctly, with their population and their qualifiers intact.
- That nothing on the page promises an outcome.
What the review applies to
It applies to the page, which is written for everybody who arrives on it. Whether you are a candidate for a particular operation is a question about your nose and your history, and it is answered in a consultation by somebody who can examine both.
Reading a page for accuracy and choosing a surgeon are separate activities, and this site keeps them visibly separate: a reviewed page says nothing about who should operate on you.
The cycle
Clinical pages are re-read every twelve months, and sooner if a source is superseded or a reader tells us something has changed. Each page shows its own last-reviewed date, and the guides index is ordered by that date rather than by publication, which is the honest ordering for content of this kind.
